Joanna A. Waldron, Associate, concentrates her practice on environmental law and litigation. Ms. Waldron advises clients in state and federal enforcement actions and regulatory compliance and permitting matters related to air and water quality, underground storage tanks, Superfund, brownfields and toxic substances. She evaluates environmental liabilities in connection with business transactions, including corporate acquisitions and divestments, and real estate and financing matters. Ms. Waldron litigates matters involving environmental professionals and counsels clients on corporate governance disputes and securities litigation in federal and state courts. Ms. Waldron has authored "The COM Rule: Liability Claims Against Licensed Professionals, an article on Pennsylvania's certificate of merit rule published in The Legal Intelligencer, February 19, 2007(Top Cases Litigation), at TC5. Prior to 2001, Ms. Waldron was in private practice in Washington, D.C., where she concentrated on environmental, international trade and tax matters affecting the trading of oil, petrochemicals and other energy commodities. Ms. Waldron is a 1999 graduate of the University of Virginia Law School, where she was Articles Editor of the Virginia Environmental Law Journal. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mineral Economics from Penn State University. Ms. Waldron is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state courts.
