Thomas R. Storrer, Associate, concentrates his practice in environmental and regulatory law, including litigation and compliance matters. As a former Compliance Specialist for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Solid Waste Program, Mr. Storrer has extensive experience in municipal, residual and hazardous waste operations. While at DEP, he provided testimony in criminal and civil cases for local, state and federal authorities. Before joining DEP, Mr. Storrer conducted underground storage tank removals, prepared bid proposals and provided contract oversight for an underground storage tank installation and remediation contractor.

Prior to joining Langsam Stevens and Silver LLP, Mr. Storrer was an Assistant District Attorney in Alamogordo, New Mexico and in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. While in New Mexico, Mr. Storrer investigated and prosecuted a variety of cases, including real estate fraud and home construction fraud, and Otero County’s first public assistance fraud cases. See State v. Fleming, 149 P.3d 113 (N.M. Ct. App. 2006) and cert. denied, 2006 N.M. LEXIS 635.

While in New Mexico, Mr. Storrer served as vice-president and acting president of the Twelfth Judicial District Bar Association (2003 to 2004), served on the New Mexico State Bar Lawyer Assistance Committee (2003 to 2004), and taught at the New Mexico State University in Alamogordo (2004). He also volunteered with the Teen Court (2003 to 2004) in Alamagordo, NM.

Currently, Mr. Storrer is a member of the Delaware Valley Environmental American Inn of Court and the Philadelphia Bar Association's Environmental Law Section. He received his J.D. from Vermont Law School in 2002 and his B.S. in Environmental Resource Management from the Pennsylvania State University in 1992.

Mr. Storrer is the co-author, with LSS lawyer David Romine, of DEP Watch – PA and NJ, a blog about environmental law.

Mr. Storrer is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state courts.
