Deborah H. Moody, Associate, has litigation experience in various complex environmental matters. She has defended cases involving leaking underground storage tanks that resulted in soil and groundwater contamination with both property damage and personal injury. Ms. Moody has participated in the defense of a national class action suit regarding MTBE, a gasoline additive. Ms. Moody has represented municipalities and private corporations in alternate dispute resolution processes with respect to the allocation of landfill remediation costs. She also has experience with toxic mold contamination and indoor air quality issues in apartment complexes and condominiums.

Prior to joining Langsam Stevens and Silver, Ms. Moody was in private practice in southern New Jersey where she concentrated on complex, class action, commercial and toxic tort litigation.

In 2001, Ms. Moody earned both a J.D. and a Masters of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School. While earning her graduate degrees, Ms. Moody served on the Executive Board of the Environmental Law Society and as Co-Chair of the Women’s Law Group. Ms. Moody is also a graduate of the University of Rhode Island where she earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science. Ms. Moody is currently on the Board of Directors for the Society of Women Environmental Professionals, Greater Philadelphia Chapter.

Ms. Moody is licensed and practices in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
